estate tax
h asked:

i filed chap 7 for 2 houses going to foreclose… my lawyer didn’t include real estate tax from counties… i did hearing already and waiting for results. lawyer said don’t worry about paying that tax… i left a vm asking if he can amend bk ppwk. what should i do to prevent the bills like this…?
i emailed the county about this and they keep refering me to ‘my attorny’ in this regard. i asked for copy of the bill but later they sent it to my mortgage company. so confusing.

Say your aunt molly dies, her estate is valued and the IHT is paid. If you receive say £1000 from what’s left of that estate, are you then obliged to pay income tax, or capital gains on that sum?

the republicans in congress voted against increasing homeland secuirty to check every cargo bag and funding for protecting chemical plants and other dangerous targets. instead they voted for the estate tax which only benefis the top 1%.
republicans are more worried about the rich getting more money then national security.

It will be my first time claiming my home as rental real estate when I do my 2009 taxes. I will be using Schedule E. I know I need to bring records of expenses and also what I’ve profited from rent, but what other documents do I need to have ready for the accountant?

If i was to draw a salary from the LLC, I would have to pay 15% social security tax. But, if the income from my real estate (rental income) is simply an owner’s draw, would I still have to pay for the social security tax? I want to move my properties under a LLC for liability protection, but not at an extra cost of 15% social security tax.

Here’s the details – - real estate agent buys a residence. He/she pays for repairs and improves the property. Then he/she sells it for a gain/profit.

Tax implications? Isn’t there a rule out there regarding an real estate professional conducting a “business” in which he/she flips houses. Hope my details are not confusing.
