My father passed away two months ago. I’m the executor of his Will and I need to obtain a estate tax ID number in order to collect on a small death benefit that will help to pay the mortgage every month until his Will can be probated. He has balances on two credit cards totaling $4,000. He didn’t leave any money behind and I am trying to come to a settlement agreement with the credit cards so we aren’t forced to sell our family home. I know they do probate searches but will they find out about the tax ID?

* Please no ugly or critical answers. I’m not trying to cheat anyone. I’m simply trying to keep our family home.

For some reason I received a statement asking me to pay for more than two thousand dollars, I don’t know why are they charging me when they never charged me this kind of fees in the last couple of years. 2. CAM Reconciliation : about twenty dollar
3. Tenant Expense, Repairs for le : about two hundred dollar (this is probably fee to cover the repair)

Please help me out and explain clearly of each charges.
