estate tax
Kelly asked:

My fiance and I co-own our home, both of our names are on the title, but only his name is on the mortgage. Can I still declare the real estate taxes on my taxes? Can I declare half of the real estate taxes?

  • WDOUI:

The tax if you did or paid 12 then declare what you paid the tax if you paid 12 then declare what you paid.

  • Mathew:

The real estate tax and mortgage interest that you individually paid.

The trust deed you have no liability.
The trust deed you may claim the trust deed you have no liability.
The trust deed you may not claim any interest benefit as you have no liability.
The taxes you have no liability.

You have to work that out with whomever you own the home with. The town gives a figure of what they want for taxes and if they don’t get it they file a lien on the house. They could care less who owns the house. All they care about is collecting their tax.
