I’m a new agent in MN and just started in October. I bought all this stuff and i’ve been told I can use them as tax deductions. Now, the question is, if my income is zero from my real estate career for the year 2006, do those tax deductions still count for something? i.e. laptop, software, suits, website. Any C.P.A.s or Realtors out there?
Thanks! I do in fact still have a part time job with continual income and I have that job in order for me to buy all my stuff for my real estate business. Would that still count?

Sorry, but if you don’t have any income, you don’t have any deductions… but, once you do have income (next year I’m sure) you can use the deductions then.
I don’t think you can write off suits… with or without income. Maybe shirts with your company name and your name on it, but not just suits that could be worn to other places.
For the next year from different job for the year only cpa could answer that im not get any part of the next year from any part of the next year your other earned income from your schedule sole proprieter selfemployed income for any source you literally have zero income from any tax.
